UNDAUNTED
For a few very hard years this word was my mantra.
The word means
-undismayed; not discouraged; not forced to abandon purpose or effort
-undiminished in courage or valor; not giving way to fear
But the truth is, I was often dismayed by everything that had taken place, and I did battle discouragement. I battled fear and doubts. I hurt and was angry, and sometimes "undaunted" sounded more like a mockery than a mantra, and I was determined to be real about all of it in these posts, thus the name, Undaunted Reality. More than that, though, I was determined to live undaunted, not because I'm so great or strong, but because my God is, and no matter what this world looks like, He is the only reality that matters.
I pray I live the reality of Him beautifully undaunted.

Let There Be Light

It really has been hard to pull myself out of this bout of emotional broohaha.

This morning I was praying about being in this "dark place", and God said, "So make some light," and I instantly had this picture of hitting two flint rocks together.

So now I'm asking what those "flint rocks" are. I'm thinking one may look like paint/games/kayaks and the other looks like people I love.

  1. I'm praying for huge flint rocks to make that light. Love you, precious friend. I'm praying!

  2. Hi Jerri
I have been praying for you and I have another scripture for you. Jer 17v7-8: But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and then go right on producing delicious fruit.

Dig deep into His word, God bless, Tracy

  4. Have you ever read Stormie Omartian's "Just Enough Light for the Step I'm On:Trusting God in the Tough Times"? I really like her books and that was certainly one of my faves. At a minimum, remembering that sometimes in God's plan we can only get as far as the area or along the path He is lighting for a reason...and mostly it's to learn to trust that He's all we need.

  5. Mizzbrizz, faith is an interesting thing, isn't it? It seems so easy to have faith God will forgive our sins, but to believe this God who put His Son on a cross will actually provide friends, finances, and sanity seems like a huge thing. We are funny things, us humans. :-)

Yes, just for the step I'm on. You bless me so greatly. Thank you.
