For a few very hard years this word was my mantra.
The word means
-undismayed; not discouraged; not forced to abandon purpose or effort
-undiminished in courage or valor; not giving way to fear
But the truth is, I was often dismayed by everything that had taken place, and I did battle discouragement. I battled fear and doubts. I hurt and was angry, and sometimes "undaunted" sounded more like a mockery than a mantra, and I was determined to be real about all of it in these posts, thus the name, Undaunted Reality. More than that, though, I was determined to live undaunted, not because I'm so great or strong, but because my God is, and no matter what this world looks like, He is the only reality that matters.
I pray I live the reality of Him beautifully undaunted.

Oh, God, let me live knowing I am human living a terminal life and there is not one second I will get back. Let me give life in each second...knowing I'm dying...and I can take nothing with me...but I can choose what I leave behind...

"Live Like You were Dying" by Tim McGraw

  1. I just read Psalm 39 today, and this is in it, starting at verse 5... or 4... not sure which, and it seems to fit with this post:

"Make me grasp, Adonai, what my end must be, what it means that my days are numbered; let me know what a transient creature I am. You have made my days like handbreadths; for you, the length of my life is like nothing. Yes, everyone, no matter how firmly he stands, is merely a puff of wind. Humans go about like shadows; their turmoil is all for nothing. They accumulate wealth, not knowing who will enjoy its benefits."
    (Complete Jewish Version)

  2. Jenny,

"...let me know what a transient creature I am..."
